Who Are We?

Greensleeves Morris Men are a band of men who perform the traditional, ritual and ceremonial dances of England. We mostly all live in the South West of London and we practice in Wimbledon.

We travel widely throughout the summer months to perform our dances. Apart from our 'native' Wimbledon, some of our past destinations are Nottingham, Rye, South Yorkshire, Chichester, Chester, Germany and Holland. As well as dancing, we also try to keep alive some other English traditions, namely :

Music.
Song.
Good fellowship.

Greensleeves don't just dance: we play and sing, too. After dancing, we often enjoy an evening of traditional (and sometimes not-so-traditional) music in a friendly pub. Liking the music was one of the reasons many of us joined Greensleeves.
